Hydrangea serrata crug farm cobalt

Habitat:

Thrives in rich, porous, somewhat moist soils. Provided it is well watered is can grow quite well in full sun; however in our hot summer partial shade is best.

Description:

Dwarf form, bearing corymbs of strong blue lace-cap (pink in alkaline soil) flowers late summer.

Background

This has been bred by  Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones from seed collected from the Mt. Unzen area of Kyushu, Japan in 1998.
