Habitat:
Seeds of this iris were collected in Crimea.

Description and Distribution:
As per comments made for Iris pumila.

Background:
The collector indicates that it is a seperate species to I. pumila. RHS recognises it as a seperate species. However, a number of other botanical sources do not, indicating that it is a subspecies of I pumila.
