We are not sure of the origin of the name ‘vicaria”. We are continuing to research this subject. We can find reference to it being named by Russian Alexei Vvedenski in his Flora of URSS in 1935. However, we can also find in Kew’s Herberium records a reference to a collection by Boris Fedtschenko in 1913.
